Self-Steer Option
All above described trailers and those illustrated on my web site indicate that:
1- The units are constructed from available standard trailers, followed by the assembly of all solar system components on top of it. Leaving it exposed to the elements.
2- Acquiring these components at whole sale and retail depending on their purchasing power.
3- The solar panels, batteries boxes and related controls are fully exposed to the elements during transportation from road debris and water splash from towing vehicle, and other vehicles on the road.
Therefore, in collaboration with “Trans world solar” , we embarked on developing a special purpose multi-discipline Solar electric generator Trailer.
As you can see above, we were able to produce a much more elegant design concept:
1- A completely weather sealed and enclosed trailer unit.
2- The new solar generator system will include a self-deploying, fully retractable Dual-Axis tracking solar array, that can be automated or remotely controlled. The unit is anticipated to self-deploy in less than 5 minutes.
3- The trailer will house batteries, a water tank, and an air conditioning system with temperature and humidity controls of the enclosure area.
4- Satellite access with Wi-Fi capable and GPS locator can be placed on board.
5- 5- Power output access for standard AC use and SAE DC Level 1 chargers.
This Solar Electric Generator trailer unit will provide all of the above features to be utilized at:
a) Remote locations as a survivalist trailer.
b) Remote locations as Electric cars recharging stations.
c) Standalone special duty Solar electric station.
The PV Solar trailers under development will produce more electricity per square meter of solar panels per day than conventional roof mounted fixed tilt flat panels. This varies from 30 - 60% more.
This reduces the number of panels needed per trailer.
This Trailer design will come in 3 basic sizes and potentially a 4th that is double the capacity of the largest.
The starting product line design will vary from a 14 FT trailer with 9 X 345W (Sun Power X21-345 ) panels solar array, with a 3KW solar output capacity, to an 18 Ft trailer with 12 X 425 W (Sun Power E19- 425W) panels solar array, with a 5KW solar output capacity.
It is anticiated to have a daily output of 20 and 35Kwh/day respectively.
This is based on 6-8 hour average sun exposure.
The battery standby system is another matter.
A new MOBILE Division needs to be created to run all operations including:
- Concept engineering design and prototyping,
- Patent application,
- Performance analysis,
- Production Cost analysis,
- Manufacturing practices,
- Sales, Marketing including Trade shows.
Our wish is to combine both of our talents and capabilities of the interested party to produce solar trailers to set the standard to all future solar trailer designs.
If your company wishes to enter the mobile solar electric generator market, this would be the product to enter the market and make a serious mark.
